Honor Their Legacy through Sound:
End of Life Music Heartbeat Recordings for People and Pets
Everyone deserves to experience end of life in a way that aligns with their values and wishes.
Legacy Beats by Feel was created to help improve end of life experiences for people and pets through a creative and innovative service: music heartbeat recording songs for people & pets.
A highly trained Board-Certified Music Therapist with palliative care and hospice experience comes to you to record the sound of your, your loved one’s, or your pet’s heartbeat using a completely non-invasive, specialized digital stethoscope that can capture heartbeat sounds in less than a minute.
Then, we find or create the perfect song to honor your loved one. We use the sound of their heartbeat as the pulse, or rhythm, of the song you choose or create, weaving the heartbeat sounds into the recording.
Additionally, we are happy to provide a PDF image of the captured heartbeat, which can be used for future projects such as tattoos or commissioned art pieces.
Not interested in the music piece but still want to have heartbeat and/or voice sounds recorded prior to your loved one’s end of life? See details below for our non-music option.
A simple, fast, non-invasive way to preserve their legacy through sound.
Recording the sound of a loved one’s heartbeat prior to end-of-life and weaving it into a unique piece of music is a creative and beautiful way to honor their legacy. Many of our past clients say that having the sound of their loved one’s heartbeat helps them feel connected to them long after they say goodbye. Past clients have played the Legacy Beats song at a funeral or memorial service, while others have chosen to keep the recording more personal. Other clients have used the visual image of the heartbeat, which we provide to you in PDF form, for artistic projects like tattoos or commissioned pieces.
We are also able to record the sound of your loved one’s voice so it is preserved forever. These “voice clips” can be used in the final heartbeat song, and we also email the audio clips to you.
The Details
-
Who
We can record heartbeat sounds for you, for your human loved ones, and for your furry friends (currently limited to cats and dogs only.)
Disclaimer: We cannot answer any questions related to the quality of the heartbeat. We do not diagnose, treat, or claim to treat any medical conditions. We record the sound of the heartbeat strictly with the intent to use it as part of a Music Therapy memorial project.
-
How
A Board-Certified Music Therapist uses a digital stethoscope to listen to and record your or your loved one’s heartbeat. Once the heartbeat is recorded, we will speak with you and/or your loved one about which song or piece of music you wish to be paired with the heartbeat to create a Legacy Beats song. We can also work with you to write an original song. Then, we will weave the heartbeat into the song and send you the finished recording.
-
